Langan is now an active member of the Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council (ITRC). Established in 1995, the ITRC is a state-led, national coalition of personnel from the environmental
regulatory agencies of 48 states and the District of Columbia;
three federal agencies; tribes; and public and industry stakeholders.
The organization is devoted to reducing barriers to interstate deployment of innovative environmental technologies and processes.
ITRC's host organization is the Environmental Council of the States (ECOS) and its educational and research activities are aimed at improving the environment in the United States and providing a forum for state environmental policy makers.

Brian Sogorka of Langan is the industry representative on the ITRC Board of Advisors. The ITRC Board is responsible for management of the ITRC and for establishing goals and processes for ITRC growth and development. As the industry representative on the Board, Brian chairs the ITRC's Industry Affiliates Program (IAP), which consists of 40 member companies with 90 individuals participating on ITRC Teams. Brian's responsibilities as IAP Chair include IAP program and membership development.
