ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE SUPPORTS NJ URBAN CORE REVITALIZATION

For more than two decades, Langan has been actively engaged in revitalizing New Jersey’s Urban Core areas. This work has encompassed former industrial land in Camden, Trenton, Jersey City, Newark, New Brunswick, and areas along the Hudson River Waterfront. Langan has earned five major engineering excellence awards for these and other urban core projects.

Langan’s work began with the Montgomery Gateway and Newport City projects, providing housing and places to work and shop in Jersey City. Our contribution to these projects consisted of a host of conceptual planning, site/civil, geotechnical, environmental and traffic engineering, and infrastructure design and permitting services.

Our understanding of difficult site issues helped revitalize the former Colgate-Palmolive industrial complex, supporting over 6.5 million square feet of new development. Langan’s successful Jersey City project track-record continues on various harborside projects and the Merrill Lynch office tower. Langan was extensively involved in transforming a former underground locomotive maintenance facility into the state-of–the-art Liberty Science Center interactive museum.
