FAST-TRACK APPROVAL S FOR KOHL’S DISTRIBUTION CENTER
To facilitate Kohl’s expansion into the northeast, a new distribution center was needed in the Lower Hudson Valley of New York State. Upon Kohl’s purchase of a 100-acre site for its 600,000-square-foot distribution center, Langan expedited a wide range of land development engineering and permitting services. All project approvals were obtained within four months of project inception.
Roadway design for this project included widening Route 209 to provide a deceleration right-turn lane and a left-turn lane into the site. The project also included designing a four-phase traffic signal and obtaining signal approvals from the New York Department of Transportation.
Our regulatory permitting services also included preparation of New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC), State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR), Stormwater Discharge, Stream Disturbance, Septic System Design (SPDES), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) permit applications and approvals for the project.
