Langan has an opening for an Environmental Engineer or Hydrogeologist with in situ remediation experience in our Center City Philadelphia, PA office. Successful candidates must possess strong technical and managerial skills, a professional demeanor, and a superior education. Experience working at an environmental consulting or contracting firm is also necessary.
Requirements:
- MS degree in environmental engineering or hydrogeology preferred; Ph.D. degree holders will be considered;
- PE/PG licensure required for those with appropriate years of experience;
- 3 to 7 years of site remediation experience, primarily with in situ technologies, notably with bioremediation and chemical oxidation;
- Detailed and thorough knowledge of in situ remediation processes and hydrogeology;
- Perform remedial engineering and design utilizing modeling software such as MODFLOW;
- Evaluate environmental investigation reports with the purpose of selecting remediation technologies;
- Design and manage field pilot studies for in situ technologies;
- Prepare cost estimates;
- Must be able to perform field work and provide supervision of remedial subcontractors;
- Ability to manage several small to medium sized projects simultaneously;
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities;
- Excellent communication, report writing, and management skills; and,
- Availability to work overtime.
