Environmental Engineering / Remedial Design Engineer – 5 to 10 Years Experience

Our Doylestown, PA office is seeking a Remedial Design Engineer with 5 to 10 years of progressive environmental project experience in soil/groundwater investigations, remediation technology evaluation and design, construction, and system operation & maintenance. The candidate must have excellent communication, project management, and client relation skills, as well as thorough knowledge of NJ and PA DEP and federal environmental regulations (RCRA, Superfund). In addition, candidates must possess strong technical and managerial skills and exhibit a professional demeanor.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Environmental, Civil or Chemical Engineering;
- Master degree in Environmental Engineering preferred;
- Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within one year;
- Knowledge of NJDEP, PADEP and federal environmental regulations (RCRA, Superfund);
- Minimum of 5 years experience in site characterization and remediation in a consulting environment with a working knowledge of AutoCAD;
- Experienced in site management/investigation methods (monitoring and recovery well design and installation, soil, groundwater and NAPL characterization, etc.), remedial engineering (specifying and procuring system components and equipment), permitting (air, treatment works, discharge, etc.);
- Ability to evaluate treatment alternatives and remediation technologies and prepare engineering cost estimates, design drawing packages including Process Flow and Instrumentation Diagrams and technical specifications;
- Experienced in preparing bid specifications and coordinating contractor bidding; performing construction oversight, start-up, and O&M; and supervising remediation contractors;
- Ability to work independently, supervise and mentor staff, and manage several small to medium sized projects simultaneously;
- Strong communication and report writing skills; and,
- Availability to work overtime.
