We are currently seeking a Human Resource Manager for our corporate headquarters in Elmwood Park, NJ. The individual will report to the Director of Human Resources. Job responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with management providing solutions and/or recommendations relating to performance management and employee development.
- Providing employee relations counseling. Responding to employee relations issues, evaluating situations, and providing recommendations and guidance.
- Implementing comprehensive recruiting strategies to meet internal client needs (i.e. utilizing job boards, print ads, factoring in price/time requirements, etc.). Interfacing with management to understand and provide recruiting support consistent with business and group needs.
- Assisting employees with benefit inquiries and resolves benefit issues, providing outstanding customer service.
- Collaborating with the Director of Human Resources with managing the annual review process and guiding management regarding the execution of performance management initiatives.
- Conducting new hire orientation meetings.
- Conducting exit interviews; analyzing the data and making recommendations to the Director of Human Resources and management for corrective action and continuous organizational improvement.
- Collaborating with the Director of Human Resources in developing employee recognition initiatives and maintaining and coordinating program execution.
- Facilitating and/or providing Human Resource related training to employees.
- Liaison to the branch Human Resource Representatives providing guidance on HR-related matters. Training Representatives regarding new programs, policies and procedures.
- Conducting Human Resource internal audits to ensure records, files, and reports remain accurate and compliant with federal, state, and local employment law.
- Recommending new Human Resource approaches, policies and procedures to effect continuous improvement in efficiency of department and services performed.
- Assisting the Director of Human Resources with on-going projects and programs.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree, coursework relating to HR a plus
- 7+ years human resource experience
- Extensive knowledge of federal, state and local employment law
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to motivate and lead others
- Self-starter with the ability to work well within groups
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail
- Sound judgment capability and strategically oriented
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; HR database programs a plus
