The successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience utilizing: ArcGIS, AutoCAD, EQuIS, RockWorks, gINT, GMS and EVS software. The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Our Doylestown, PA office is seeking a dynamic Environmental Professional (Engineer, Geologist or Scientist) who will provide firm wide management of environmental software applications.
- Providing high-level technical support to Langan’s environmental group to advance the use of technology both internally and externally through the development of new business.
- Development of firm wide software and database utilization standards and guidelines.
- Providing technical support, training, documentation and rollout to users of these software products.
- Developing and enforcing corporate network organization, standards, templates, etc.
- Evaluating project workflow with the intent of improving efficiencies particularly focused on data management and interpretation, graphical presentation and 3-D visualization.
- Meet with internal clients to discuss topics such as technical specifications, customized solutions, and operational problems.
- Providing insight to the latest technology to improve overall effectiveness and to provide input into corporate strategic planning for future enhancements.
- Developing and managing a team of technology professionals.
- Establishing and managing department budgets and strategic goals.
- Report writing and firm-wide communication to staff and senior management.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will:
- Possess a Master’s degree in Geology, Engineering or Environmental Science, with 15 to 20 years of experience working in the private consulting sector.
- Have worked in a technical capacity on environmental projects and later transitioned into a manager in the software and database environment.
- Possess excellent management and technical skills.
- Display exceptional verbal and written communication skills, as well as, strong attention to detail.
