Environmental Compliance Manager – 10 to 12 Years Experience

Langan has an opening for an accomplished Environmental Manager to lead our environmental compliance practice in our Doylestown, Pennsylvania office. The successful candidate will be managing small and large-scale projects and must have diverse and proven environmental compliance experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the environmental compliance group, which includes writing proposals, attending professional related events, and interacting with potential clients. Candidate should have experience in state and federal contingency plans, stormwater and wastewater permitting, air permitting, multimedia compliance audits, and the ability to understand and communicate state or federal environmental regulations to clientele. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for training staff and reviewing their work, as well as, management of compliance projects and developing new business.

Requirements:

• BS degree in Environmental, Chemical or other engineering science (Masters degree preferred);
• Minimum 10 to 12 years of related environmental compliance experience;
• Pennsylvania and/or New Jersey P.E. license or other professional certification preferred;
• Significant background in air permitting in Pennsylvania and New Jersey including Title V permitting and BACT, MACT, and PSD requirements;
• Knowledge of the NJDEP electronic air permitting software RADIUS;
• Ability to develop state and federal contingency plans including the SPCC and FRP;
• Understanding of hazardous and residual waste regulations;
• Familiar with community right to know programs;
• Ability to develop business and manage environmental projects;
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills;
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; and,
• Must be self-motivated and responsible for staff;
