Langan is seeking a Business Development professional for our Elmwood Park, NJ office. As the successful candidate, you will be identifying new business opportunities and establishing and developing business relationships for the firm. Langan’s clients include private developers, property owners, and major corporations. We also support public institutions and work closely with architects, attorneys, and other consultants.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for identifying, developing and maintaining business relationships, assessing market trends, and potential opportunities for the firm;
- Networking at tradeshows and other related industry events including active participation in related professional organizations;
- Ability to travel daily throughout New Jersey, New York State, and Connecticut;
- Effectively prepare, manage and track proposals, requests for quotations and pricing from concept through completion;
- Demonstrated ability to manage time, work independently and as a part of a team, as well as with management and clients;
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in related profession;
- Possess 3 to 5 years of service industry business development experience, AEC experience preferred;
- Valid driver’s license and reliable automobile;
- Professional demeanor, “can-do” attitude, and client management experience;
- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling services;
- Excellent communication and effective presentation skills;
- Critical thinking, active listening, and follow up skills;
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities; and,
- Adept in computer utilization and research.
