Geotechnical Engineer - Entry Level to 3 Years Experience

Employment type: Full-time

Langan has an opening for an entry level Geotechnical Engineer in our New York, NY office. As the successful candidate, you will have interest in preparing technical reports, specifications, plans, designing foundations, retaining walls, and other geotechnical aspects of construction in a dynamic environment. In addition, possession of a strong technical education, professional demeanor, and desire to learn is essential.

Requirements:

• Master degree in Geotechnical Engineering;
• FE/EIT certification;
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities;
• Demonstrated ability to follow direction and work in a team environment;
• Field experience with construction monitoring is desired especially in the New York metropolitan area;
• Candidates must be able to spend at least 50% of working hours in the field;
• Excellent communication skills; 
• Working knowledge of computers and AutoCAD (desired); and,
• Availability to work overtime.
