Environmental Engineer – 5 to 8 Years Experience

Job Description:

We are seeking an Environmental Engineer for our corporate headquarters office located in Elmwood Park, NJ. The successful individual will possess 5 to 8 years of progressive environmental experience in soil/groundwater investigations and remedial technology evaluation and design. Candidates must have excellent communication, project management and client relation skills, as well as a thorough knowledge of NJDEP regulations. Knowledge of NYSDEC and NYCDEP regulations is also desired.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering;
• Master degree in Environmental Engineering a plus;
• Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within one year;
• Thorough knowledge of NJDEP regulations;
• Knowledge of NYSDEC, NYCDEP and federal (RCRA) regulations desired;
• Minimum of 5 years experience in site characterization and remediation in a consulting environment with a working knowledge of AutoCAD;
• Experienced in site management/investigation methods (monitoring and recovery well design and installation, soil, groundwater and NAPL characterization, etc.), remedial engineering (specifying and procuring system components and equipment), permitting (air, treatment works, discharge, etc.);
  Ability to evaluate treatment alternatives and remediation technologies, prepare engineering cost estimates, and design drawing packages;
• Ability to work independently, supervise and mentor staff, and manage several small to medium sized projects simultaneously; and,
• Strong communication and report writing skills.
