June 16, 2010 - ASCE's Metropolitan Section held its annual dinner dance and awards presentation at the Penthouse Suite of Terrace on the Park, overlooking Queens' Flushing Meadows Corona Park. Arthur J. Alzamora Jr., PE, LEED AP, M. ASCE, an assistant project manager for Langan, was honored with the Younger Member Award. East 111th Street and West 181st Street Pedestrian Bridges Honored by NYC
July 21, 2010 - The East 111th and West 181st Street Bridges, on which Langan provided geotechnical services, were honored by Mayor Bloomberg and others at the 28th Annual Awards for Excellence in Design. Since 1982, the Design Commission has recognized outstanding public projects with its Annual Awards for Excellence in Design; the winning projects are selected from hundreds of submissions. This year's projects reflect New York City's continued focus on sustainable design.

Livingston Campus Mall Renovation Wins 2009 New Jersey ASLA Award
January 26, 2010 - Langan's Livingston Campus Mall Renovation won a merit award in the site category. The project redesigned a 1.5-acre promenade through the center of campus. A new student center, when finished, will complete the west end of this primary pedestrian connection for residence, classroom, library, and dining facilities. Langan worked with campus staff to design a theme of small plazas connected by cohesive walkway paving patterns, and provided survey, landscape architecture, civil engineering, and construction administration services.Click to visit the NJASLA website
