Langan Hosts Annual “What’s New in New Jersey?”

- Bob Martin, NJDEP Commissioner, was among many distinguished speakers at “What’s New in New Jersey?", an annual event managed by Langan Engineering & Environmental Services.
Martin informed attendees, a diverse audience of environmental and real estate professionals, about changes to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s (NJDEP’s) Remediation and Land Use programs. Other distinguished speakers included Irene Kropp, NJDEP Deputy Commissioner, who overviewed the transition in the NJDEP’s Site Remediation Program, as well as transformations among other NJDEP programs.

Langan Staff Presented at ESRI International User Conference in San Diego

- Langan’s Brett Milburn, GISP and Allison Jelinek spoke on the topic of “Combining Mass Flux With Data Visualization Techniques Using GIS” on Thursday, July 15th from 8:30-9:45 A.M. The presentation provided an overview of developing a Site Conceptual Model (SCM) using GIS for visualizing groundwater contaminant mass flux over time. The presentation included two case studies where development of a SCM was used to assist responsible parties with prioritizing remedial efforts prior to and following source zone remedial treatment.

Langan a Gold Sponsor of the USGBC's Natural Talent Design Competition Awards Reception

- The Connecticut Green Building Council Emerging Professionals brought USGBC's Natural Talent Design Competition (NTDC) to the Northeast in 2010. The competition provided students and emerging professionals with the chance to compete in the design of an 880-square-foot home that meets LEED for Homes Platinum certification – and the winners of the national competition will ultimately be built. Langan was a gold sponsor of the Awards Reception that took place July 13, 2010. Langan’s Tim Onderko, LEED AP (Juror) and Alison Suarato, LEED AP, NTDC (Task Force Member) were recognized.
