Levi's Stadium Opens

July 18, 2014 - Levi's Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers, officially opened on July 18th. The stadium is part of the next generation of sporting facilities. It includes unique features like a green roof, a ground source geothermal system, and Wi-Fi capability throughout the entire stadium. It was built to be the first professional football stadium in the United States to achieve LEED Gold Certification. Langan served as the geotechnical engineer of record. Read full article

Port of Miami Tunnel Dedicated

May 19, 2014 - Florida Governor Rick Scott dedicated a new tunnel under the Port of Miami on May 19th. This project is the first large-diameter tunnel constructed in Florida’s challenging soft sedimentary geology using a tunnel boring machine. Read full article

Kingdom Tower Design Team Celebrates in Chicago

November 20, 2013 - Langan and RWDI co-hosted a reception on the eve of the Council of Tall Buildings and Urban Habitats annual awards. Pictured are representatives from Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill (architects), Thornton Tomasetti (structural), RWDI (wind), and Langan, (geotechnical, site/civil, and traffic/parking), the firms that designed the tallest tower in the world – Kingdom Tower in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Stronger NJ Business Grant and Loan Program

September 24, 2013 - The Stronger NJ Business Grand and Loan program offers businesses offers grants up to $50,000 and loans up to $5 million. The funding can be utilized for working capital, equipment, and/or construction for damages from Hurricane Sandy. The program is targeting small businesses in the following counties: Atlantic, Bergen, Cape May, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Union. The deadline to apply is December 31, 2013.
