Langan Engineering & Environmental Services was founded by Bernard Langan in 1970 as a geotechnical shop with three employees in a modest office in Clifton, New Jersey. Since then Langan has steadily grown and expanded its services and reach to become an internationally respected engineering and environmental consulting firm.
We are headquartered in Elmwood Park, New Jersey and have grown to over 500 professionals. We also have regional offices in New York City; Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Bethlehem, and Doylestown, PA; New Haven, CT; Trenton, NJ; Arlington, VA; Miami FL; and Irvine, CA. Furthermore, Langan International, the firm’s wholly owned subsidiary, has offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Athens.
There are numerous reasons for our growth, but none is more important than our integrated mix of technical disciplines. We now provide site/civil, geotechnical, and environmental engineering, as well as landscape architecture and planning, survey/mapping, BIM-compatible 3D Laser Scanning, traffic/transportation, CADD/GIS, natural and cultural resources/permitting, and sustainable design consulting. Evolving this suite of services into a “one-stop shop” enables Langan to bring measurable value to our clients’ projects. It has also helped us endure hard times and soar during more prosperous economies.
