Colliery Redevelopment Project, Taylor Borough, PA
June 03, 2010
Langan's Greg Firely accompanied US Congressman Paul Kanjorski and Taylor Borough Manager Dan Zeleniak on a site visit of the Taylor Colliery Redevelopment Project. The Taylor Colliery was a 150-acre coal mining and processing operation in the heart of Taylor Borough, operating from 1856 to 1966.
Greg Firely has been the environmental consultant for Taylor Borough on this project since 2005. He is managing all environmental investigations and remediation, and has secured them $850,000 in State and Federal grant funding for the assessment and cleanup of mine-scarred lands.
“Greg Firely has been instrumental in the Taylor Colliery Redevelopment Project. He acts seamlessly coordinating all reporting efforts between the Borough and the EPA.”
– Dan Zeleniak, Taylor Borough Manager
