To support the master planning for Stewart Airport, Langan was commissioned to provide a complete EIS for the development of 2,200 acres for Lockheed Air Terminal.

Langan performed a subsurface investigation, provided foundation recommendations, and pavement design for their Fixed Based Operations expansion at Newark International Airport. The proposed facilities consist of four airplane hangars, with office/maintenance garages, one 2-story terminal building, and three expansion hangar locations for future development.

The JFK International Arrival Terminal redevelopment project was part of the JFK 2000 improvement master plan. This $1.2 billion project includes a new 1.3 million square foot, three level terminal building with two concourses and new roadways that will also accommodate the new JFK Light Rail. Langan served as Technical Advisor to the private developer consulting on foundation, construction and environmental related issues.

The development at Teterboro Airport consists of three new 40,000 square foot hangars, a new terminal building, a new support vehicle maintenance shop, and a fuel storage facility. Langan’s close interaction with PANYNJ engineers allowed the work to continue on the fast-track schedule.

Langan supported the design and permitting of a 30,000 square foot aircraft hangar at Morristown Airport. The project was designed in accordance with the "Morristown Municipal Airport Master Plan" which recommended the construction of corporate hangar at this 2.4 acre, undeveloped site.

Langan participated in a master plan for the development of 8,000 acres surrounding Stewart International Airport. As part of the planning process, Langan was responsible for the preparation of a report that included an environmental assessment. As a result of completing the planning and assessment stage, Langan was commissioned to provide a complete EIS for the development of 2,200 acres for Lockheed Air Terminal, the New York State DOT contract operators of the facility.
