The University of Pennsylvania (Penn) has begun construction on Perry World House, a gathering place for faculty and students from all twelve of Penn’s schools to engage with eminent international scholars and policymakers on pressing global issues of the 21st century. Construction, including partial demolition of the structure and a 7,200-SF addition to the existing historic portion of the building, has begun. Upon completion, the Perry World House will include classrooms, offices, lecture halls, and multipurpose spaces. Site improvements include a plaza, service court, and pedestrian walkways. Langan has provided a variety of services including an environmental assessment, survey, site/civil, geotechnical and transportation engineering, and permitting.
