The Dubai Waterfront project consists of a proposed $3.5 billion-USD, 3,400-acre mixed-use development at a waterfront site along the Persian Gulf in the United Arab Emirates. The site will include at least 1,000 buildings for a population of around 500,000 people. The site concept includes a "city" with new transportation and utility infrastructure to support residential, commercial, institutional, and recreational uses including a canal, marina, and new "palm" land formations on made land.
