This 34-acre site has been operated as Colgate Palmolive's main production facility since 1848. After over 150 years of industrial use, the site was developed into a world-class commercial center.

This project involves one of the few remaining large, waterfront parcels along the Connecticut coastline. This 80+ acre re-development of Stamford’s South End offers substantial revitalization to areas abandoned from former industrial uses.

The Dubai Waterfront project consists of a proposed $3.5 billion-USD, 3,400-acre mixed-use development at a waterfront site along the Persian Gulf in the United Arab Emirates. The site will include at least 1,000 buildings for a population of around 500,000 people. The site concept includes a "city" with new transportation and utility infrastructure to support residential, commercial, institutional, and recreational uses including a canal, marina, and new "palm" land formations on made land.

Langan performed a geotechnical engineering evaluation of a 160-meter-long wharf structure constructed over weak, compressible silt strata.

The abandoned Campbell Soup Factory, contaminated with asbestos and other hazardous materials, occupied a prime area on the Camden waterfront and thwarted efforts to revitalize the area. Langan was charged with the evaluation and remediation design of all aspects of contamination, the preparation of construction documents for the demolition of over 600,000 square feet of multi-level industrial structures, and the design of infrastructure improvements to support new development.

As part of a multi-disciplinary team, Langan provided full survey services including laser scanning and modeling of the exterior and interior of the historic Tin Building. These services were completed to provide a recordation plan set of the building, which was originally built at the water's edge. Due to new construction along the waterfront, the building had then been removed from the water. The latest redevelopment plan calls for the relocation of the Tin Building back to the water’s edge.

Langan was the lead consultant for the design of approximately 1,500 linear feet of new Hudson River Waterfront Walkway. The project included the design of a new bulkhead and esplanade, new timber walkway and a new 2.5-acre park at the Colgate Clock site at the southern tip of Jersey City. The project will include outdoor seating areas, lawn and performance spaces, new architectural lighting and shady groves of trees.

The master plan's primary focus is on rehabilitation of the borough's 12-acre waterfront park. The park will feature flexible dock facilities and an expanded waterfront promenade. A second component of the master plan focuses on creating a small neighborhood riverfront park on a former Brownfield site. The master plan also includes recommendations for regional trail connection.

Designed by renowned architect Louis Kahn, the 4.5-acre park and plaza sits at the Island's southernmost point. The site features a landscaped open garden and plaza area for passive public enjoyment, promenade along the East River, forecourt, sculpture court and front plaza overlooking the East River with views of Manhattan and Brooklyn. Langan provided site/civil engineering, landscape architecture, geotechnical engineering, permitting, environmental assessment, and natural resource studies for the project.

Treadwell & Rollo, A Langan Company, performed a seismic safety evaluation for the East Bay Municipal Utility District of Dunsmuir Reservoir, a 65-million-gallon reservoir 300 feet from the Hayward fault. Geologic and geotechnical issues included secondary fault rupture, potential for strong ground shaking, soil-structure interaction effects, and embankment stability.
