Langan Texas Expansion Creates Multidisciplinary Team in Capital City

Not too long ago, Jack Garner was the “Lone Ranger” in Austin. Today, he’s surrounded by a powerhouse posse of Langan engineers and environmental scientists growing the firm’s business in the capital city.

Working in and around ATX presents an array of challenges not often faced elsewhere in Texas, in large part because of its location within the Edwards Aquifer. Covering 4,350 square miles across 11 counties, the groundwater system provides drinking water for over 1.7 million people and serves the region’s municipal, industrial, and agricultural industries. As a result, the region requires special permits to preserve the environmentally sensitive area and protect the endangered species residing there.
