Langan has an outstanding part-time (20 hours/week) Spring (January-May) internship opportunity available in the Traffic discipline in our Doylestown, PA office. The successful candidate will have an enthusiastic, can-do attitude, will work on exciting projects, and most importantly work in a team environment while gaining practical experience.

 

The candidate will assist with roadway and traffic signal design projects and performing traffic studies.  This is a unique opportunity to learn both roadway / traffic signal design and how to prepare various traffic engineering analyses / studies.  The student will also learn and utilize the following design software:  HCS, SYNCHRO and AutoCAD.  The successful candidate will assist with preparing design plans, technical reports and specifications. (Hours of operation: 8:30 am – 5:15 pm Monday through Friday.) 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering interested in a career in Traffic / Roadway Engineering;
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater is preferred;
  • Possess strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities;
  • Demonstrated ability to follow direction and work in a team environment; and
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
