Langan has an opening for a Civil Engineer in our White Plains, NY office. The successful candidate will have up to 3 years of local and related site/civil land development engineering design experience. As the successful candidate, you will be working on multiple small and large-scale projects and must have diverse and proven civil engineering experience. You will be working on designing properties for institutional, mixed-use, waterfront residential, and other exciting land development projects. Individuals must possess an enthusiastic and professional demeanor, as well as strong technical and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering;
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0;
- FE/EIT certification;
- Internship or cooperative education experience in site/civil design including site planning, layout, grading, drainage, stormwater management, and soil erosion preferred;
- Willingness to work in the field as necessary;
- Possess reliable transportation to access job sites with a valid driver’s license in good standing;
- Familiarity with current local, state, and federal land use permitting is a plus;
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities;
- Demonstrated ability to follow direction and work in a team environment;
- Position requires work Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends;
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written;
- Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, strong technical skills, and the ability to learn and apply new skills quickly and efficiently;
- Self-starter with problem solving abilities; and
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office.
