Langan has openings for Civil Engineers at our Arlington, VA office.  Qualified candidates will have 4 to 6 years of experience with land development projects and will be responsible for assisting with the planning, design and permitting of civil engineering, land development and infrastructure projects, and leading specific assignments and tasks.


Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering;
  • FE/EIT certification, PE certification preferred;
  • LEED AP preferred;
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in site/civil design. including site planning, grading, stormwater management, drainage, and soil erosion is desired;
  • Familiarity with current local, state, and federal land use permitting;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Ability to multi-task effectively;
  • Excellent analytical and judgment capabilities;
  • Ability to work well individually and within groups;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D design skills;
  • Ability to oversee, coach and train staff;
  • Ability to occasionally participate in field work and work during evenings and/or weekends, as needed by project schedule;
  • Occasional travel to project sites and/or client locations, as required; and,
  • Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.
