Langan has an opening for an Environmental Engineer or Scientist with significant experience in in-situ remediation in our Lawrenceville, NJ office.  The successful candidate will have 6 to 10 years of related experience managing and designing remediation projects for a wide variety of technically challenging projects and must possess strong technical and project management skills. Senior level candidates will develop new clients for the firm and maintain relationships of existing clients. 
 
Job Requirements:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related field required; Master’s degree or Ph.D. in related field strongly preferred; 
  • Candidates with degrees in Engineering should possess PE licensure in the State of NJ, or be able to obtain reciprocity;
  • 6 to 10 years of site remediation experience, primarily with in-situ technologies, notably with bioremediation and/or chemical oxidation;
  • Detailed and thorough knowledge of in-situ remediation processes and hydrogeology;
  • Knowledge of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and/or New York as well as federal regulations;
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate environmental reports with the purpose of selecting, designing, and/or troubleshooting remediation technologies and systems;
  • Experience designing and managing field pilot studies;
  • Experience designing and implementing in-situ remediation systems, including developing full-scale cost estimates;
  • Experience in preparing cost estimates, managing project/task budgets and managing field operations;
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with staff, clients, and regulatory agencies;
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, judgment, and problem-solving capabilities; and
  • Excellent communication, technical report writing, and management skills.
