Langan is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its collaborative team in Miami, FL.  This individual will serve a key function in working directly with Project Managers and land development teams in designing multi-family residential, commercial, mixed-use, and industrial properties in Florida. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn and be involved with all aspects of land development.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation and modification of various engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates and design plans for projects using engineering and design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.) and equipment;
• Use reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests, and aerial photographs to assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical and geologic data and their impact on the planning and design of projects;
• Familiarity with current local, state, and federal land use permitting is a plus;
• Recommends new approaches and ideas that continuously improve efficiency and services performed;
• Apply knowledge and techniques of engineering and advanced mathematics
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments; and
• Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Master’s degree a plus;
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification;
• 2 to 4 years of experience in related site/civil land development engineering;
• Knowledge of local, county, and Florida state land use processes and regulations; 
• Proficient in site, stormwater management, storm conveyance, grading, calculations, utility design and erosion and sediment control design;
• Demonstrated AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills with the ability to design land development plans from concept through completion;
• Active participation in local professional organizations a plus;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities;
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment;
• Possess reliable transportation to access job sites and a valid driver’s license in good standing; and
• Position requires work Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends.
