Langan is seeking a Site/Civil Project Manager/Engineer to join its collaborative team in Bethlehem, PA office. This individual will serve a key function in providing land development engineering experience through site/civil design and efforts that support management of projects, supervision of staff engineers, and interfacing with clients. In this role, you will have an the opportunity to grow as part of a rapidly-expanding team and will gain experience through the planning, design, permitting and construction phases of various challenging projects in the warehouse, residential, commercial, mixed-use, higher education, energy and other exciting markets.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Effectively design and manage all aspects of land development projects from concept through completion;
  • Perform and oversee site design including layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc. from concept through design and permitting, and to completion;
  • Write and review draft reports, including feasibility studies, stormwater management reports, technical specifications, and utility reports;
  • Perform and manage multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines. Plan, schedule, and develop task and project budgets. Prepare progress reports, draft change orders, draft invoices, and project billings; and
  • Performs other duties as requested.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering;
  • Possess valid PA Professional Engineer licensure, or ability to obtain within 1-2 years;
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in related site/civil land development engineering in the Eastern PA/NJ market;
  • Strong client development and client management abilities with the ability to become a seller/doer;
  • Knowledge of local City, County and State land use entitlement processes and regulations;
  • Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of land development engineering including the integration of geotechnical and environmental engineering;
  • Ability to design and oversee design including layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc. from concept through design and permitting and to completion;
  • Experience in hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design including SWPPP/WQMP preparation and water quality compliance;
  • Ability to develop business and network and forge relationships with others in the industry;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with multiple clients, develop proposals and budgets and manage permitting processes;
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent quality control and analytical and judgment capabilities; and
  • Ability to work independently, as well as mentor staff engineers and interact with other discipline experts.
