Langan is seeking a .NET Developer to join its collaborative Information Technology team at its headquarters in Parsippany, NJ. This individual will serve a key function in designing, developing, and implementing software projects, through which they will have the opportunity to support strategic and innovative company initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with employees and management to identify application development solutions, new applications, or modifications to existing programs;
• Define, design, build, support, and test reusable components to create complex systems, communicating with the project team throughout all stages of design;
• Remain abreast of technological advances in the field, identifying areas of use in the firm;
• Provide input on development solutions;
• Assist the Senior Applications Developer with on-going projects; and
• Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field;
• 0-3 years of web development / programming experience;
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming (VB.NET, Java or C#);
• Familiarity with SQL Server and related syntax;
• Strong understanding of Internet design issues such as browser usability, cross-platform compatibility, color, and quick loading of images;
• Ability to create logical, organized, and efficient front-end code that works seamlessly across platforms and browsers;
• Aptitude to analyze, design, implement, and modify desktop software applications and web sites to support business requirements and code reuse;
• Ability to effectively work on multiple project timelines simultaneously;
• Strong desire to learn new technologies;
• Mobile application development experience is a plus;
• Possess excellent problem solving skills and effective communication skills; and
• Ability to work independently or in a small development team.
