Langan is seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist or Geologist to join its collaborative team in Lawrenceville, NJ. This individual will serve a key function in assisting with the management and performance of environmental investigation and remediation projects in New Jersey. A strong technical background and the ability to interpret and apply environmental regulations, and prior remediation experience on fast-paced, multi-disciplinary brownfield redevelopment projects is essential.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or Environmental Science;
- 6 to 10 years of related experience with environmental investigations, assessments, and remediation projects in New Jersey;
- Proficiency in environmental due diligence (Phase 1 ESA) required;
- In-depth knowledge of NJDEP Site Remediation Program regulations and guidance;
- Office experience related to scheduling, technical report writing, working with remediation contractors, and lab coordination;
- Demonstrated ability to organize and implement field work, and provide initial field training to new team members;
- Ability to assist with the management of and communicate effectively with staff, contractors, clients and senior managers;
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, judgment and problem-solving capabilities;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and related environmental software; GIS a plus;
- Candidates must be able to work in the office and the field as necessary;
- Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for job site and client locations;
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification; and,
- Position requires work Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends.
