Langan is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join its collaborative team in Parsippany, NJ. This individual will serve a key function in coordinating all aspects of payroll administration and processing.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support daily payroll operations to ensure per the established bi-weekly payroll schedule;
- Assist with preparations of calculation of wages, overtime, comp time and deductions to ensure compliance with federal and state laws;
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations and wage and hour laws to ensure the application is accurate within the ADP payroll system;
- Assist with preparing bi-weekly payroll journal entries including the distribution of payroll costs by department to facilitate proper payroll expense reporting by office location;
- Process employee data such as new hires, employee status changes and additional earnings within the ADP payroll system as well as employee database within Vision;
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end reports for management; and
- Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma required, Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting preferred;
- 2+ years of experience in payroll;
- Knowledge of payroll processing, tax principles, wage and hour laws by State;
- Superior interpersonal skills;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Sound judgment capability; and
- Proficient in ADP Payroll, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, Internet research and knowledge of Deltek Vision software, preferred.
