Langan is seeking an Environmental Engineer or Scientist to join its collaborative Remediation Technology team in Parsippany, NJ, Lawrenceville, NJ, or Doylestown, PA. This individual will serve a key function in providing advanced site remediation solutions, primarily with in situ technologies, and notably with bioremediation and chemical oxidation. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally on some of the industry’s most exciting and complex remediation projects nationwide. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop complex remedial treatment options;

  • Design and implement field pilot studies for in situ technologies;

  • Provide supervision of remedial subcontractors;

  • Perform field work and lab testing;

  • Prepare cost estimates; and

  • Perform other duties as requested.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 2 to 6 years of site remediation experience, primarily with in situ technologies, notably with bioremediation and chemical oxidation;

  • Advanced degree (MS or Ph.D.) degree in environmental engineering or science;

  • Experience at a consulting or contracting firm preferred;

  • Superior technical knowledge;

  • Experience with treatability studies and/or laboratory research;

  • Experience with in situ remediation processes;

  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously;

  • Strong communication and report writing skills are required;

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities;

  • Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment; and

  • Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver’s license in good standing.
