John D. Plante, PE

Managing Principal

John Plante has more than 35 years of civil engineering consulting experience specializing in site development, permitting, transportation, traffic analysis and value engineering. He has been responsible for the engineering design and preparation of contract documents for a wide variety of projects. He specializes in urban, mixed-use development and the complex engineering and regulatory challenges they present. 

Plante is the executive responsible for the management of and operations of the firm’s New Haven, Connecticut and Boston, Massachusetts offices. He was appointed to the Connecticut General Assembly’s Shoreline Preservation Task Force, which is tackling climate change’s impacts on the state’s residents, infrastructure and economy. He is also a member of the steering committee for the Urban Land Institute (ULI) in Connecticut and the UConn Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering Advisory Board.
