DFI Recognizes Meyer and Vaidya with President’s Awards

The Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) recognized Langan Principal Matt Meyer, PE, D.GE and Senior Associate Seth Vaidya, PE with President’s Awards at the DFI 43rd Annual Conference on Deep Foundations. Each year, the President’s Awards are given at the discretion of the DFI president to recognize the efforts and service of members who are advancing the work of the organization.

An expert in large-scale high-rises and deep foundation design, Meyer is a longtime active member of DFI, serving as a Board Member and Immediate Past-Chair of the ACIP Pile Committee, as well as a prior member of the Sustainability Committee. He currently serves as the trustee liaison for both the Augered Cast-in-Place Pile and Drilled Displacement Pile Committee and Working Platforms Industry-Wide Working Group. He has drafted multiple design specifications, in addition to serving as a reviewer on the Project Fund Review Committee.

With over 20 years of geotechnical experience, Vaidya specializes in the foundation construction of high-rise structures in urban areas. He has been instrumental in the success of DFI of India, serving as the co-chair of the DFI of India Support Committee, and providing review and detailed technical support for the Continuous Flight Auger (CFA) Implementation Program. Additionally, he is a member of the Technical Program Committee and coordinates numerous DFI of India conferences.
