Kimmel Pavilion Named ENR Best of the Best

ENR named the Helen L. and Martin S. Kimmel Pavilion at NYU Langone Medical Center one of the“Best of the Best” projects from 2019. The awards program recognizes the top 20 best projects around the world, categorized by market sector.
Located along Manhattan’s East River at 34th Street and above four active Amtrak train tunnels, this 21-story hospital facility includes integrated services for patients, doctors, hospital administration, and technicians. Langan provided foundation solutions for the building, including design and detailing foundations, ground improvement programs, and support of excavation. Langan also developed full design plans for site work associated with the project and was responsible for obtaining permits and approvals from multiple city agencies.
