Firm Continues Growth in the Natural Gas Market While Supporting Design and Development Projects in the Region
Parsippany, NJ (June 27, 2017) – Langan Engineering & Environmental Services officially announced the opening of its 23rd U.S. office. The newest location – Bridgeport, West Virginia – is strategic to the growing Marcellus Shale natural gas market. Additionally, Langan is providing its integrated suite of engineering and environmental services to the real estate development market throughout the state.
Langan’s Bridgeport office – located at 109 Platinum Drive in the heart of energy country in West Virginia – is anchored by Chip Day, PWS, Senior Project Manager. Day has 16 years of experience in the field and an extensive background managing a variety of planning and permitting processes related to midstream oil and gas, land development, and transportation infrastructure projects. Day’s local team will be supported by Senior Associates Jason Hanna, CHMM, and Scott Rowland, PE, as well as Gerard Coscia, the Langan Senior Principal, who directs Langan operations in Pittsburgh and Cleveland.
“Our new office in West Virginia establishes yet another Langan foothold within the Marcellus Shale region,” said David T. Gockel, President/CEO, Langan. “Chip Day’s vast experience in the oil and gas industry will no doubt help the firm support current and prospective clients in that region, and with a proven leadership team behind him we are confident that Bridgeport will be a success.”
In addition to applying its consulting expertise to the oil and gas industry, Langan is providing geotechnical, site/civil, and environmental engineering services to developers and architects in West Virginia, where many existing clients and partners are developing higher education facilities, healthcare structures, and other private mixed-use developments.
“We see enormous potential in West Virginia. We will continue fostering existing and new oil and gas client relationships throughout the region, along with supporting other sectors Langan is traditionally involved in, such as land development,” said Day. “Our integrated team brings multiple technical disciplines to a project, which differentiates Langan from the competition, and ultimately offers measurable value to our clients.”
