Two Langan Projects Recognized in Big Apple Brownfield Awardsby: Kelly Sheridan
The New York City Brownfield Partnership recognized two Langan projects with 2020 Big Apple Brownfield Awards: The Shed won the Open Space Award and 535 4th Avenue won the Innovation Award.
The Shed is a 200,000-SF center for the performing arts, visual arts, and pop culture. Langan provided a site-wide environmental investigation and remediation oversight for the project.
Langan provided in-situ remediation services for 535 4th Avenue in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn. The project involved the redevelopment of the former Strauss Auto Center into a 12-story building that will operate as a homeless shelter for families and children.
