Harlem Meer Reconstruction of Pool and Rink

The Harlem Meer area of Central Park underwent a redevelopment to replace the Lasker Pool and Rink with the Davis Center, a year-round facility with a swimming pool, skating rink, and turf field. The facility is energy efficient, provides solutions for flooding and drainage issues that previously impacted the site, and connects the Harlem Meer shoreline with the surrounding landscape. Langan prepared CEQR documentation to support city capital funding approvals, focusing on natural resources, urban design, and historic resources. We also provided drainage improvements, natural resources permitting, project coordination, construction administration, and permit preparation.
