Herron Park

Langan redesigned an asphalt lot to create a one-acre oasis with a sprayground, electronic play structures, and shaded sitting areas. The project was instrumental in setting the stage for sustainable stormwater management in the city by using raingardens, bioswales, and porous paving to manage the first inch of stormwater and to disconnect over 95% of the stormwater runoff from the city storm sewer system.
