Langan performed an environmental site characterization and geotechnical investigation for this site, an approximately 38,700-SF asphalt-paved vacant lot. Construction plans include building a 20-to 22-story building over three levels of parking. The parking garage structure will include an excavation of about 40 feet below ground surface, which will require all excavated soil to be disposed of off-site. Langan assessed the presence of petroleum hydrocarbon and metal contamination in the soil that will be removed and disposed of during construction.
