Rutgers University Admin Building and Parking Deck at University Hospital

Langan provided site/civil, geotechnical, environmental, and hazardous materials/abatement engineering services for a new administrative office building and parking structure adjacent to University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey. The project involves the demolition of existing facilities followed by construction of a modern parking deck and office building to support Rutgers University and University Hospital operations. Our integrated team developed design solutions that addressed grading and drainage within a constrained site, provided geotechnical recommendations to support new foundations, and managed environmental and hazardous materials investigations to facilitate safe demolition and construction activities. Our multidisciplinary approach helped streamline site development efforts, reduce schedule risks associated with existing environmental conditions, and ensure seamless integration of the new facilities within the University Hospital campus.
