The Keller

Overlooking the West Village waterfront, The Keller involves the adaptive reuse of the landmarked 1898 Keller Hotel Building into a 10-unit condominium with ground-floor retail, along with a new 14-unit residential addition. Langan performed a subsurface investigation and provided geotechnical design services, including support of excavation, underpinning, tiedown anchors, and mechanically stabilized earth walls, as well as construction administration and special inspections. Enrolled in the New York State Brownfield Cleanup Program, the project also required environmental services ranging from due diligence and remedial planning to in-situ groundwater treatment design, construction-phase monitoring, and preparation of the Final Engineering Report and Site Management Plan.
