500 Folsom – Transbay Block 9

This mixed-use project replaced Embarcadero Freeway infrastructure that was damaged by the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake, and occupies the entire Transbay Block 9 site. The 42-story, 600,000-SF building is flanked by a nine-story podium and consists of market-rate and affordable housing units with six levels of underground parking. Our multidisciplinary services included leading the design for incorporation of the non-potable ordinance into the project.
