1500 Grand Street

OVERVIEW
Located on the former Poggi Press site, the 1500 Grand redevelopment project includes two residential towers separated by a linear park. The development includes 420 apartments, retail space, amenity space, and a 175-space structured parking facility. Project challenges include the site’s location at the North End of Hoboken, which has one of the city’s lowest elevations. In response, the team incorporated multiple building resiliency components, including floodproofing, and designed a subsurface stormwater detention system that will connect to a new separated stormwater conveyance system. The project also includes significant upgrades to the surrounding streetscape, including the addition of multiple bike lanes to create a more pedestrian-oriented environment and the conversion of a one-way street to accommodate two-way traffic flow.
