Langan Opens Office in Chicago
Midwest Expansion Enables Firm to Better Support Clients in Multiple Sectors
Parsippany, NJ (June 10, 2021) – Langan Engineering & Environmental Services announced the opening of its Chicago office at 200 South Wacker Drive. Joseph Good, Associate, has relocated from New York to take the helm of Langan’s newest office, which will help the firm better support clients working in multiple growing markets, including e-Commerce, multi-family, environmental remediation, energy/renewables, infrastructure, and high-rise.
“Langan’s impressive track record of geographic expansion has mainly been predicated on empowering a future leader to be entrepreneurial, and when it comes to Chicago, that’s Joe Good,” said David T. Gockel, President/CEO, Langan. “Joe is from Chicago, graduated from the University of Illinois, and cut his teeth on some of the largest projects in New York City. We are certainly confident that Joe will continue his success in his home town.”
Opening in Chicago has long been a strategic objective for Langan, especially given the firm’s track record of supporting complex projects in urban environments and playing key roles within sophisticated design teams across all real estate asset types. Importantly, the continued growth in e-Commerce has brought all of Langan’s services to the region, where the firm is currently engaged in multiple projects.
“We are very familiar with many Chicago developers, architects, allied consultants, construction management companies, and law firms, so moving here will strengthen our existing industry connections while enabling us to grow new relationships,” said Good. “I am very excited to have this opportunity to bring Langan to ‘Chicagoland’ and to use Chicago as a central hub to serve the rest of the Midwest.”
In addition to Good, several Langan leaders will provide technical leadership in support of the new Chicago office. Alan Poeppel, Managing Principal, Scott Rowland, Principal, and Jason Hayes, Principal, are responsible for providing geotechnical, site/civil, and environmental engineering management and resources.
