Sharpe Reservation
OVERVIEW
The Sharpe Reservation is comprised of a 3,000-acre heavily-wooded property located near Fishkill, New York and owned by The Fresh Air Fund. The site is comprised of five summer camps, staff housing, and shared amenities such as lakes, pools, art centers, and ropes courses. Nearly 18,000 people from community and school groups in the tristate area participate in Sharpe Reservation’s year-round environmental educational programs. Langan worked with Magnusson Architecture & Planning to provide master planning for the Sharpe Reservation that yielded several key recommendations, including enhanced assessments and management recommendations for the site landscape, natural resources, and vehicular and pedestrian circulation.
