Langan’s London Office Plays Major Role in Megaprojects
Since touching down in London Town nearly a decade ago, Langan’s on-site professionals have teamed with partners across the pond to turn the firm’s UK office into a trusted consultant on some of the most complex projects around the world.
As Langan’s international hub, the London team combines its local geotechnical, civil, and geo-environmental expertise with the firm’s global connections to support industry partners making decisions about the future of development worldwide. This approach has helped establish Langan as a major global player — a reputation that continues to drive its strategy and operations in the UK and beyond.
“We started our office here because London is a global city with some of the best design, development, and construction partners in the world,” said Tim Ward, Associate Principal, Langan, who leads the office and hails from Essex, UK. “This has proved true, as we have successfully grown our portfolio in the UK, Europe, Middle East, and Asia, which, as a UK native, has been incredibly rewarding both professionally and personally.”
A sampling of jaw-dropping international projects includes the four-hectare Nine Elms development in London, a new medical facility in Oxford, the massive Hellinikon Metropolitan Park in Greece, high-rise towers in India and the Middle East, and multiple stadiums atop challenging terrain in Saudi Arabia.
Langan’s current headcount in London stands at 20 and continues to grow with support from the firm’s experts across the US and strategic local hires. Most recently, Langan welcomed UK native and 30-year industry veteran Dean Cadby to the team to lead the office’s civil practice.
