Rise in e-Commerce Leads Langan to Add Site/Civil in Phoenix
He might be a Drexel Dragon from Philly, but Tim Stout is no stranger to the desert. During his 20-year career at Langan he has led projects throughout the Middle East. His latest adventure: starting a land development practice for Langan in Phoenix, where he joins an established environmental health and safety compliance team.
Much like e-Commerce, Stout’s move has already produced speedy results, with several large fulfillment center projects underway. Langan clients are capitalizing on the firm’s local presence, which includes the hiring of Jim Griffin, a well-known and respected Phoenix-based engineer with more than 30 years of site planning and design experience in Arizona.
“I could not be more thrilled to be in Phoenix working with Jim and our Langan team, which includes environmental Associates Gary Bacon and Devesh Sinha,” said Stout, who possesses significant experience in healthcare, higher-ed, stadium/arena, and datacenter development. “We have literally hit the ground running in support of e-Commerce projects, and other markets for clients who anticipated the addition of our site/civil practice in Phoenix.”
Currently, Langan supports developers, corporations, utilities, and several university clients from its Phoenix office. Internal and external recruiting efforts are in full throttle to complete the firm’s integrated suite of services in the state. Timing could not be better as the region continues to experience an influx of people moving from California and the Northeast, which means a boom in all manner of development, especially e-Commerce.
