Flocking to Florida
Langan Champions High-Profile Projects and Accelerated Growth in West Palm Beach
West Palm Beach is hot—and we’re not talking about the temperature. As the fastest-growing city in Palm Beach County for the past six years, West Palm is attracting younger residents, prominent developers, and top-ranked corporations in record numbers. To Sarah Amritt, Associate Principal at Langan and co-leader of the firm’s West Palm Beach office, this exponential growth comes as no surprise.
“Rather than trying to pinpoint the cause of West Palm’s growth, the better question is, why wouldn’t people want to move here?” Amritt said. “By offering a vibrant live-work-play lifestyle and business-friendly incentives, it has become a magnet for businesses spanning every employment sector. Our team is thrilled to help bring these diverse projects to life and to partner with our clients and community as we continue elevating the area.”
One of the team’s high-profile projects of late is K-Park in the nearby village of Wellington, a 71-acre mixed-use development led by West Palm Beach-based Related Ross. With construction expected to start later this year, the project will transform the agricultural site into an accessible, one-stop destination with retail, restaurants, residential and office space, a hotel, a private K-12 school, and multiple public parks. Langan is working closely with Related Ross on this development, providing site/civil, geotechnical, environmental, survey, and transportation design services. Langan has previously collaborated with Related Ross on several local projects, including One Flagler and 360 Rosemary.
Langan’s West Palm presence reflects the city’s trajectory: continually growing. The full-service office has tripled in size since opening in 2022 and, with a range of open positions available, shows no signs of slowing down.
