Making the Grade
Langan Supports K-12 Projects Across the Country
School’s out for summer, and that’s when most of the work starts. Many of the K-12 projects designed by Langan, in conjunction with various architectural partners, move from concept to construction during this season to create premier spaces that enrich the student experience around the nation.
While the site planning needs of K-12 schools may seem straightforward across the board, oftentimes the development is anything but. Whether working on a new building, an expansion, modern athletic facilities, or security upgrades, each project presents its own set of site-specific challenges that the team must proactively address.
Langan streamlines the K-12 engineering process for clients, offering an integrated mix of services under one contract and a single point of contact. With experience ranging from large-scale campuses in Texas to tightly constrained urban sites in New York, New Jersey, Miami, and San Francisco, the team understands the objectives and has passion for the final product.
“Working on K-12 projects is unique because you have the opportunity to create a lasting, local impact and set students up for success at every level,” said Chris Cardany, Principal, Langan. “Our experience working on schools across the country has taught us that no two projects are the same. Each school is an exciting reminder to remain nimble, engage with the community, and develop future-ready facilities that work within the project’s budget and space constraints.”
