Langan’s Latest Team Provides Integrated Solutions to Forestry Products Industry
Jeff Manuszak and Steve Sagstad have a passion for pulp and paper.
These two Associates at Langan welcome the environmental challenges that come with taking in tons of virgin timber and recyclables, and converting these renewable resources into pulp and paper products, all while managing the inflow and outflow of millions of gallons of process water.
Since joining the firm last year, Manuszak and Sagstad have hit the ground running, leveraging Langan’s integrated services to bring measurable value to clients. From aging infrastructure to ever-increasing environmental regulations, clients in the pulp and paper industry are faced with challenging problems, many of which can be tackled by the firm’s geotechnical, site/civil, and environmental engineers.
In the past six months alone, Manuszak and Sagstad have led teams to support a variety of projects using drone surveys for the evaluation of stormwater issues, nation-wide property transaction support, new remediation systems and upgrades, CERCLA site evaluations, and permitting and compliance support at active mills, box plants, and recycling centers.
“Our clients are major employers in every state in the nation, and they are committed to environmental stewardship,” said Manuszak. “We continually work with pulp and paper producers to help them achieve more efficiency with water and energy usage while meeting the most stringent environmental regulations. Langan staff brings a tenacity and eagerness to do the right thing for our clients.”
