Langan has an opening for a Senior Environmental Project Manager – 8 to 15 Years Experience in our Denver, CO office. The successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring, developing, leading and growing an established team of environmental professionals in Langan’s Denver office. The candidate is expected to have a strong command of local environmental regulations and regulatory programs and have experience remediating land-development driven brownfield remediation sites in Colorado as part of multi-disciplinary teams. The candidate will be responsible for developing new business for the Langan Denver office and for developing and mentoring staff on technical engineering and environmental tasks. In addition, possession of a strong technical education, willingness to be a seller/doer, and a professional demeanor are essential.

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field required; Master’s degree preferred;
  • Professional Engineer licensure in the State of Colorado preferred;
  • 8 to 15 years of experience on Colorado environmental projects (due diligence, site investigation, remediation);
  • Strong knowledge of Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) Division of Oil and Public Safety (OPS) regulations and programs, including the Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCUP);
  • CDLE OPS Recognized Environmental Professional certification preferred;
  • Prior experience working with regulators;
  • Experience and understanding of land development (i.e., brownfields redevelopment);
  • Client management/business development abilities and proven record as a seller/doer;
  • Must by entrepreneurial and have a desire to work as part of a small team to grow a practice;
  • Experience leading/managing projects from concept through completion including, but not limited to: preparation of proposals, reports, bid specifications, and coordination of remediation planning and projects; client, project, staff and contractor management; budgets and billings; etc.;
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, judgment and problem-solving capabilities;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organization and multi-tasking skills;
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and related environmental software; AutoCAD and/or GIS a plus;
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification as some field work is required; and,
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for job site locations and client meetings.
